With a nod of respect to the history of Fountain Square and a tip of the hat to the completion of the Cultural Trail leading to and ending in Fountain Square, we introduce the "End of the Line" Public House.

The Virginia Avenue corridor began to emerge as the South side’s commercial center in the 1860s when the Citizen's Street Railway Company laid tracks down Virginia Avenue and located a turnaround in 1864; the neighborhood began to be known as 'the End' by local residents. Nearly 150 years later, these original streetcar tracks were unearthed in the process of construction of the Cultural Trail on Virginia Avenue in 2011.

Inspired by this bit of history and the completion of the Cultural Trail, the "End of the Line" Public House is opening in the space that at one time operated as shelbi street caFe & Bistro. 'The End' will become a friendly local watering hole for residents of and visitors to historic Fountain Square.

In keeping with the foundation of a public house, the End of the Line will feature ten taps of beers brewed in Indiana along with a menu of simple yet hearty fare. Starting close to home with the Fountain Square Brewing Co., Sun King Brewery , Flat 12 Bierwerks, Triton Brewing Company, Upland Brewing and New Albanian Brewing Co, just to name a few...'the End' will feature a wide variety to satisfy the craft beer drinker in you.

With a gastropub style menu built around sandwiches and pizzas, both vegetarians and meat eaters alike will have many options to choose from, including Ye Old Blighty Burger, B.Y.O. (build your own) Burger, the Blazin' Asian Chicken, a Gooey Spinach Melt or Baked Brie and Fuji Apple Sandwich. For pizza lovers, choose between the Cajun, Italian, Thai or a simple five cheese pizza plus many more delicious options. Not to be overlooked, fresh Baked Pretzel Sticks with Beer Cheese Sauce, Seared Ahi Tuna or Glazed Denver style Lamb Ribs, so many flavors to pair with so many beers.

'The End' serves lunch and dinner Wednesday & Thursday 11:00am – 11:00pm, Friday & Saturday 11:00am- 12:00am, Saturday Breakfast 9:00am – 11:00am and Sunday Brunch 9:00am – 1:30pm.
